How Google will be Unseated.

With the launch last month of CUIL and numerous other social type search startups.   There seems to be a constant buzz about when the “Google Killer”  will come.   maybe the buzz is not out of need as Google does a ‘fair’ job, however more just out of trying to create some excitment.

However what many do not realize is that the “Google Killer”  will not usper google by beating Google at her own game.

Meaning that as of Today,  it is clearly known and acknowledged that Google does the best job of anybody at adequately indexing and sorting the content of the world wide web.   Even though there is much room to improve, they are on the track to continue to dominate this avenue as their management is focused and sound.   This means that NOBODY is going to beat Google at this game.  End of story.

But what if I told you about another game just getting started across the way?   And that before long - this new game is going to be so big that Google and her game will just be a tool or accessory to the real way to search for information?

That is the direction we are clearly headed.   The Future of search is being defined by YouBundle and our contemporaries.   Meaning that right now the ‘way’  to find information is to ask Google the robot what it thinks is best based on its human-intelligence like algorithms.

This is actually a good first step and necessary part of the process.  But the natural evolution is where gangs of actual humans will use Google as a 1st step process to filter through legions of raw data.    The humans, each a self appointed individual expert on their subject of choice will then arrange the data in a way that is easily digestible for others to process.

In this way, instead of the human being dependent on the machine for its information, the human is the final say in the results and only uses the machine as a tool in the process.

Why is this the natural evolution?   Well without getting too Butlerian on you, it is human nature to seek out information from other humans.   Because really there is no such thing as ‘objective’ information - and that is the issue with machine results - everything they return is programmed to be as objective as possible.   With human made Bundles, each result is the ’subjective’ opinion of the creator of that Bundle.    There may be some that agree, some that disagree, but the fact of the matter is that collection of information is going to be useful to someone.   It will be their ideal search result that a machine would never be able to compile.

and that is how Google will be unseated.  As the humans take control back of the internet
